A Great Role Model

I saw this adorable little girl in a shop today. Cute as a button and no more than two or three years old. She was telling the sales clerk about a boo-boo she had and the clerk said "You must be very tough to be able to handle something like that!"

The little girl said "Yes! I AM tough! I fall down all the time and sometimes blood comes out! But I just get up again and keep on goin'!"

Everyone in the store was grinning ear to ear.

Thanks for sharing this. This is a really cute story! I think as adults we should also adopt this little girl's positive attitude!

I stumbled across your blog and am loving reading your reactions to our area. Although I live north of you in Holbrook (thanks for the nice description!), I often find myself wondering what people who come here for the first time, or move to the high desert are thinking about it. It's such an interesting insight, and great to hear someone really speak their mind about the differences here.
By the way, did you know there's an amazing lavender farm near Concho? I've lived here most of my life and didn't even know about it until last year. http://www.redrockfarms.com/pages.php?pageid=9
Good luck with your business! I'm glad you are enjoying the quiet beauty of the desert. I think it takes a special type of person to really appreciate it. :)
